about Poignant Pearls & Potbellied Pigs |
IN a shabby
little hut, overlooking the Indian Ocean, an ill-assorted pair pass the time
throwing together Poignant Pearls & Potbellied Pigs - a one-of-a-kind
ezine, published monthly.
It could be the generation gap - or the fact Sheldene is into nature and Griselda isn't. Add their differing opinions on who is bone idle, or possibly deranged, and it is not surprising fur and frangipani flowers fly - frequently.
You can never be sure what you'll find in 'Pearls & Pigs' but you're guaranteed both a smile and a good read. Almost anything goes - as long as it is interesting and lighthearted. Links to subscribe and/or read the latest issue appear at the end of this 'page'.
SHELDENE
CHANT (left), self-appointed editor and publisher of Poignant Pearls & Potbellied
Pigs, was an experienced journalist in the real world (not that Griselda
believes this). She lives in hope of one day being able to afford a loyal
and efficient assistant. |
GRISELDA (right), secretary extraordinaire, dreams of a modelling career
when, and if, she escapes from the lunatic fringe. And in the meantime she
feeds dogs, paints her nails and torments the boss. Griselda's main claim
to fame is her regular column, Inside Story, where she tells it like it
really is - and the editor usually denies this.
